Welcome to Dream Screen Mini Film Contest, an exciting platform hosted by the Jagran Film Festival, the world’s largest traveling film festival.
At Dream Screen, we believe that every aspiring filmmaker deserves a chance to shine and their mini films to be released on big screen. That’s why we’ve created a unique opportunity for budding talents to showcase their creativity and passion for storytelling on a global stage.
This contest is open to film students, college film societies, and budding filmmakers from all backgrounds. Your journey in filmmaking and making a Dream entry in the industry starts at Dream Screen, which is the perfect platform to share your vision with the world.

Guidelines
Registration form is open from April 17th to May 30th and available on jff.co.in
During the registration process, you are required to submit your information via the provided form.
After a successful registration, you will receive the submission link through email. You can submit your film through this link.
Film submission link will open from May 1st to May 30th.
Submit your film by providing a link (which means you do not have to upload your film but share an unlisted YouTube or Vimeo link). Please keep your link unlisted.
Duration: upto 10 minutes.
Entries exceeding the specified duration will not be considered for evaluation.
Theme of the competition: There are 8 categories in this contest. Films must be made on these topics only.
First 7 categories are the 7 commandments of Jagran Group, 8th one is any category you specialise in.

Entries will be evaluated based on criteria such as creativity, relevance to the theme, storytelling, cinematography, sound design, and overall impact.
FIlms can be shot on a professional camera or a mobile phone
Film can be made by an individual or a team
The competition is opened for budding filmmakers, Film schools, and college film societies falling in the age group of 16-25 years
Age Group: 16 to 25 years. This means the filmmaker should fall in this age group. Characters or the actors in the film can be of any age.
Animation films are also eligible.
The naming convention of the film must start with DSMF, followed by the name of the film and the duration of the film. Example: If the name of your film is “Revenge of Himalayas,” your submission name will be DSMF_Revenge_of_Himalayas_10m.
Films in all languages (including mute/silent films) are eligible however All films must have English subtitles except those in English and Hindi language.
Each submitter is allowed to submit a maximum of two films.
The result of the shortlisted films would be declared in June last week or in the first week of July.
20-30 mini films will be screened in JFF 2024.
The top 2-3 winners Will be adjudged at renowned JFF awards at Mumbai.
The top 2-3 winners would be eligible for the prize pool of INR 50,000.
Big gratification to the fame: Winners will be invited to renowned Jagran Film Festival awards in October to Mumbai.
Winners will be covered in newspaper and digital media.
Terms & Conditions
Age: Age of the filmmaker should be 16–25 years
All entries must be original works. Plagiarism or unauthorized use of copyrighted material is strictly prohibited and would lead to disqualification.
Entries that violate any of the terms and conditions, including but not limited to plagiarism, inappropriate content, or failure to meet submission guidelines, will be disqualified from the competition.
By participating in the competition, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions and any additional rules or guidelines provided by the Jagran Film Festival organizers.
The competition is opened for budding filmmakers, film and media school students and college film societies.
Films can be made in any language; however, all films must have English subtitle, except those in English or Hindi.
Shortlisted films will be announced by June/July 2024, and their films will be screened across 1–18 cities.
Winners will be announced around Last week of Sep. 2024. They will be invited to Mumbai for renowned JFF awards
Participants must submit their entries from May 1st to May 30th.
Submitter and filmmaker accepts that rights to the mini films submitted in this contest are reserved by Jagran Film Festival.
